The Mario Do Right Foundation Partners with Your Voice. Your Choice.
As if the contest wasn’t cause enough for excitement, we’ve got another bit of news to share: Grammy Award nominated R&B singer, songwriter and actor Mario Barrett and his The Mario Do Right Foundation (MDRF) are partnering with us to spread the word about the video contest and the HoCo Unsweetened campaign! MDRF focuses on empowering and assisting young people who have been affected by substance abuse in their lives, and encourages young people to make better choices. That is why MDRF is supporting Your Voice. Your Choice. as an initiative that is urging HoCo students to demand healthier beverage choices.

A few facts about Mario:
- He grew up in Baltimore, Md., and still has close ties to the state.
- He launched The Mario Do Right Foundation in 2007, a non-profit organization with a mission to educate, mentor and support youth adversely affected by substance abuse in the home and in under-served communities.
- Not only is he helping the Horizon Foundation spread the word about Your Voice. Your Choice, but he will also be attending the “red carpet” awards ceremony in December!
We’re really excited to see where this partnership goes, and work with a Foundation that is doing so much for our local Maryland youth.
